Post  NikaT on Mon Oct 11, 2010 2:16 pm

)Use the spell check and grammar check.
)Take a break between writing and proofreading.
)Make sure introduction is adequately developed. It should be clear and and developed not just a statement of your opinion.
)After proofread and editing do one last grammar and spell check. There are ALWAYS new mistakes.
)The conclusion must have all components- it should be consistent with the essay, include all your subtopics and your thesis statement. It is the last impression.
)Proofread for one component at a time.
)For the content print it out and read it. Ask the question: Is it clear? Is it easy to understand? Rewrite confusing areas.
)Read out loud.
)Ask someone else to proof AFTER you.
)Remember, Editing gives you a fresh look at your essays.Decide what sounds weak and what is strong? Fix your weak areas.
